What’s a pod discovery? Practically speaking, it’s the name of the Cincinnati-based podcast festival I co-founded in 2018. I remember crafting a phrase that captures the spirit of podcasters discovering new concepts, strategies, and technologies to help them scale their series. The Pod Discovery(s) festivals are more than static lectures and shows. The festivals deliver interactive design sprints and hands-on workshops. They’re collaborative experiences, which make the opportunities for transformative discoveries even greater.

A spirit for discoveries in the world of podcasting also drives the Pod Discovery(s) columns that I’m posting to my Original Feed and Medium sites.

I want to share how podcast creation products and services from Steve Ramos Media (SR Media) address buyers’ needs. Look for ideas and lessons from SRM customer stories and use cases. These service packages involve additional benefits, extensive timelines, high values, and multiple deliverables.

I’m reviewing podcast creation use cases to determine if buyers meet their goals and needs with SR Media’s service packages.

I’m crafting Mini Podcast Coaching sessions to bring higher value to buyers by offering a first-step product with an affordable cost and brief timeline. What’s the key focus of a mini-coaching session? The sprint will help buyers answer the critical question of whether they’re ready to launch a podcast.

I aim to make podcast services accessible and affordable to as many diverse buyers as possible. Offering a fifty-minute coaching sprint fulfills these goals.

The Hollywood Reporter’s (THR) list of Hollywood’s Top Dealmakers in 2023 includes multiple podcasts.

Podcaster, storyteller, and former monk Jay Shetty makes THR’s Top Dealmakers list. Shetty’s pact with iHeartMedia to handle ad sales for the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast is an example of an ad deal creating additional opportunities.

In the article, Oren Rosenbaum, Partner & Head of UTA Audio, UTA, points to the partnership between SiriusXM and Audiochuck CEO and Crime Junkie Co-host Ashley Flowers as a top deal. SiriusXM is creating an exclusive channel for Flowers.

As the founder of a content creation studio, I’m committed to customizing the insights around the corporate deals on THR’s list into actionable strategies for a consultancy.

Brandon Bauman, Global Head of Original Content and Legal at Spotify, says “strategic agility” is critical to podcasting success in 2024.

What does strategic agility mean? Bauman emphasizes post-strike motivation from talent and studios, the modern audience’s cross-platform consumption habits, leveraging untapped revenue sources for creators and platforms derived from significant advertising and e-commerce tech innovations.”
